Morning

When we awake in the morning, we should call to mind our future resurrection, the fruit of Our Lord's merits. Before Christ, sleep bore the resemblance of death; now, death ought to seem but sleep to us. Hence, Our Lord speaking of the daughter of Jairus said: "The girl is not dead but sleepeth."
