It does not suffice to do good things. We must do more; we must do them well, after the example of Jesus Christ, of whom it is written: "He hath done all things well." (Matthew 7:37) Let us, then, study to perform all our actions in the spirit of Jesus Christ, that is, in the manner He performed His actions, proposing to ourselves the same end; otherwise, every work, good perhaps in itself, will bring upon us punishment rather than rewards.
